ARTIST #15 LINKWOOD 30 YEAR

The Artist #15 range, The Dark Side of the Moon, explores the profound influence of Andalusian sherry maturation through six single casks distilled between 1989 and 2015. Featuring malts from Speyside (Benrinnes, Linkwood, Mortlach, and a mystery distillery) and the Highlands (Ben Nevis, Ardmore), the series ranges from Oloroso to Pedro Ximénez finishes. The title pays homage to both the 1970s rock classic and a legendary 1990s Velier Glen Grant series, bridging the gap between historical tradition and modern curation.

The collection is visually defined by South African artist Sthenjwa Luthuli, whose contemporary Zulu-inspired aesthetic transforms hand-carved, painted wooden panels into hypnotic, optical compositions. Notably, the artwork for the "Dark Side of the Moon" bottling is sourced directly from Luca Gargano’s private collection, symbolizing the deep intersection of fine art and rare whisky within this release.

Founded in 1821 on the left bank of Spey Bay, the historic Linkwood distillery has evolved through major expansions in 1972 and 2013, yet it remains a cornerstone for master blenders who prize its signature "green and grassy" profile.

This Andalusian-inspired bottling showcases a deep malty character, navigating a complex series of flavor twists while maintaining the purity of Linkwood’s elegant distillate. It is a sophisticated marriage of Speyside refinement and Spanish oak influence, resulting in a single malt that is as characterful as it is poised.
